Panduit® Launches New Cleat kAlculator™ App
that helps design engineers select the correct cable cleat in three simple steps.
Panduit, a leading global provider of electrical and network infrastructure solutions, today announced the launch of its new Cleat kAlculator™ app for iOS and Android mobile devices. The new cable cleat product selector app allows design engineers to select a cable layout, input their short circuit current requirements, and input the cable’s outer diameter to easily determine the right cable cleats for large-scale industrial electrical infrastructure projects.
“When selecting cable cleats, there are a variety of factors to consider, including cable layout, environmental performance and cable selection,” said Fred Dorman, director of the cable cleat business at Panduit. “To simplify this decision process, we have developed the industry’s first cable product selector app to ensure engineers get the design and installation of electrical infrastructure correct the first time to avoid rework that takes away from on-time project delivery.”
To prevent damages resulting from a short circuit fault, the Cleat kAlculator™ app provides part recommendations and IEC 61914:2015 short circuit test compliant cleat spacing.
